Madeira Jeep Tour – The Fascinating West
- Discover the most beautiful “off the beaten track” in our Madeira jeep tour with open roof land Rovers.
- Stop at the skywalk viewpoint in Cabo Girão the highest cliffs in Europe and the second in the world (580 meters above sea level).
- A journey in the indigenous “Laurissilva” forest (World heritage by UNESCO since 1999), did you see.
Starting in Funchal, we follow the road on the south coast until Lugar de Baixo, from there we go up until the plateau, Paul da Serra, passing by Lombo do Mouro and by Bica da Cana. From Bica da Cana you have an amazing view over the highest mountains of Madeira, Pico do Areeiro (1818m), Pico das Torres (1851m) and Pico Ruivo (1862m).
Continuing our journey, we go in direction of Santa until we reach Porto Moniz. There, you will have the chance to observe our natural pools, created millions of years ago.
On our way back, we will pass by Chão da Ribeira, this village located in a valley, surrounded by the Laurissilva forest, it’s part of the Seixal parish. Following the road, we will arrive at São Vicente where we begin our journey back to the soutn of the island. Along the way we will pass by Serra de Água, well known for our typical drink, Poncha.
