Canyoning Ribeira Lajeado starting on the plateau of Paul da Serra, this canyoning is marked by its large lagoons where you can perform several jumps.

When accessing to the canyon you will still have the opportunity to walk along the pretty “Levada do Alecrim”.

If you are looking for a ludic canyon and at the same time easy and beautiful, this is our proposal.

Neoprene suit and socks, all the equipment needed (helmet, harness, connectors and eight approved by UIAA), a chocolate bar, licenses to carry out activities in the mountains, Canyoning guides, personal insurance (according to the Portuguese law) and transportation from the hotel to the activity and from the activity to the hotel. (Funchal or caniço – other locations only under request and can be apply extra cost)

What I need to bring?

To do Canyoning you need to bring a towel, bathing-suit, sports shoes that you don’t mind getting wet (sportive shoes like running or mountain boots, never sandals or diving shoes) and change of clothes.


Is this Canyoning suitable for me?
Canyoning is an extreme sport with different levels of difficulty. This Canyoning is a level II – moderate so you need to have previous experience in Canyoning or be an active person to perform this level of Canyoning.
Are the jumps mandatory?
There are a few jumps along the way that are always optional. You can choose to jump or going down in rappel. But we recommend you feel comfortable with jumps to do this Canyoning in Madeira.
Is this tour ideal for kids?
Only if your kid has previous experience in Canyoning or after a level I and evaluation from our guides.
Do we need to know how to swim?
To do this canyoning activity you don’t need to necessarily know how to swim but you need to feel comfortable around and inside water.
