Relaxing walk through the traditional farmland "Poios" and with fantastic views over Porto da Cruz and Penha da Águia (Eagles rock).

This tour is ideal if you want to walk a "Levada" with a low degree of difficulty. We will walk along the levada das Refertas and from here the views over Porto da Cruz and Penha de Águia (Eagles Rock) are fantastic! We will walk into an "Exotic" forest with plants that were introducer over the years. We will also have the opportunity to observe the main agricultural crops and the famous "Poios".

Luxuriant vegetation, plentiful water, natural tunnels and amazing views are some of the features of this fantastic walk.

This is with no doubt one of the most beautiful levadas in Madeira Island. It is located in the Laurissilva forest and its main characteristics are certainly the predominant emerald-green colours, the fantastic views of S. Jorge and the large presence of water in almost all the journey. After going through five tunnels of natural basaltic rock we can delight in the waterfall of Caldeirão Verde, a beautiful waterfall with crystal clear water.

Pico do Areeiro - Pico Ruivo - Achada do Teixeira

This fantastic walk starts in the third highest peak of the island "Pico do Areeiro" at approximately 1810 meters height. You will have the opportunity to enjoy the greatness of the island and its fantastic views over the whole central mountain range. This path ends in the highest point of Madeira "Pico Ruivo" with 1862 meters height; the views from this point are breathtaking!

Walk along one of the most beautiful walk on Madeira and enjoy their amazing waterfalls and springs.

The levada of Rabaçal begins in Paul da Serra more precisely in the area of Rabaçal. From this point we can observe one of the most beautiful valleys of Madeira, the valley of Rabaçal. In the first part of the route we will visit the wonderful waterfall of the Risco then descend to catch the levada to the 25 Fontes. Along this Levada we can find several fountains and a wide variety of endemic flora and fauna of Madeira. To finish we visit the waterfall of the 25 Fontes and its lagoon.

Return to the time of the discovery of the island, and walk inside the Laurissilva forest, one of the seven wonders of Portugal.

Walking through this levada we realize it must have been pretty, in 1419, when Portuguese sailors landed to explore this island's unique vegetation. The Levada do Rei is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful levadas of Madeira. During the first part of the course we will walk into an exotic forest mainly composed of some specimens of introduced flora. After 30 minutes, we enter in one of the most well-preserved areas of the Laurissilva Forest (UNESCO World Heritage site since 1999 and one of the seven wonders of Portugal). Here we can observe, in abundance, the large number of endemic flora and fauna of our island.
